Today I am Grateful For…

My Mother’s phone call. Plain and Simple.

Sometimes just hearing a familiar voice can deepen the heart’s ability to open and let go of concerns or fears that continue to fester. It was nice to hear my mother’s voice even though she is so very far away. I may have not had the best relationship in the past with my mother but that is FAR behind me :) Life is all about moving forward! We are here to learn from the past to create the best reality for ourselves. Thank you Mom for being who you are and teaching me what I know best – hard work, persistence, and being disciplined is needed in getting the job done, whatever the “job” is, whether it is your career, education, life in general, relationships, etc. I am grateful for my mother today. What are you grateful for today?

Please comment or email me with your stories – I’d love to hear them!

Peace, Love, & Light,

Chris

Today I am Grateful For…

Today I was blessed to have the opportunity to volunteer for the Peace and Justice Store (Burlington, VT) at Burlington’s Farmer’s Market, which takes place every Saturday during the spring and summer months in the City Hall Park. I was given the opportunity to enjoy my day with wonderful people discussing World Fair Trade Day, which of course, was today! I was able to work the smoothie stand with our bike operated blender using the energy of the kids of Burlington who powered the bike. No people, this was not child labor! :) Just some good old clean fun with children having a really fun time. Annnnd, I prayed all week it wouldn’t rain for the event so we could spread the word of Fair Trade and to my grateful eyes, it didn’t rain at all! Well that is what I am grateful for today…and you?

Today I woke up with a new friend in my non-job revolution page by the name of Jeremiah Taylor. He expressed his positive attitude towards my new website and provided enthusiasm for my hard work! I like to call this “Symbiosis in Action.” Teamwork is also a key element in life. I scratch your back as you scratch mine. But remember, try not to look for something in return when you give – for when it doesn’t come, you may become tainted by a negative lack of something. Rather, see it as an opportunity to grow and as you help someone else achieve their dreams, you are only helping yourself in the long run. The Universe will provide, trust me! Make your karma a good one while you’re still living it! That is what I am grateful for today…and you?

p.s Jeremiah Taylor’s blog site is…www.jeremiahdavidtaylor.blogspot.com so please check it out for “another perspective.” :)

Last night as I was looking in my iphone, the little gadget that is taking over the world, I was able to check the daily/weekly forecast and was a little disappointed. Rain! Rain! Rain! But to my surprise and elation, I woke up this morning and booyah! Sunshine! everywhere :) It has been in the low 70s and sunny all day! Amazing…that is what I am grateful for today.
